New Yorkers are great at combining the reprieve of fantastic outdoor green spaces with entertainment in the summertime. New York City’s vast distribution of beautiful parks double as entertainment venues during many summer nights, with concerts, plays, and even films being screened in neighborhoods all over the city.
Recently, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano announced that the “Family Movie Night Series” would return to Eisenhower Park this season, providing fun for all ages. Between July 11th and August 22nd, films will air every Thursday evening at the park beginning at dusk on a giant screen at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre. Through sponsorship from local Carl Mattone Real Estate group, these family movie nights will be free of charge. All you need to bring are your own lawn chairs or blankets, the event information suggests!
